Goalkeeper Shirts

Below displays my collection of Match Worn/Player Issue Goalkeeper shirts.
Hope you enjoy !!!

*** MARK BEENEY MATCH WORN SIGNED 1993/95 GOALKEEPER SHIRT ***

This rare goalkeeper shirt was worn by Mark Beeney during Premiership games in the 1993/95 seasons. Although Mark was second choice to John Lukic he did get called upon on numerous occasions. The shirt has all the differences to a replica which include the sewn numbers to the back. The shirt has also been signed and dedicated to the previous owner on the back. The shirt was given to the original owner by Mark as a ''get well soon'' present.

*** NIGEL MARTYN MATCH WORN 1996/98 AWAY GOALKEEPER SHIRT ***

This rare goalkeeper shirt was worn by Nigel Martyn during a cup game in the 1996/97 season. The shirt was used in two seasons during 1996-1998 but as this shirt features the unique numbering only used by Leeds in the 1996/97 season then it can be assigned to that season. The shirt came from a cup game due to the fact that it doesn’t have Nigel's name on the back. Player shirts from this period are very different to replicas and this shirt has all those differences.

*** DANNY MILOSEVIC MATCH ISSUE 2002/03 HOME GOALKEEPER SHIRT ***

This rare goalkeeper shirt was issued to Danny Milosevic during the 2002/03 season. Danny never made a senior appearance for Leeds Utd so there is no question that this is only a match issue shirt. The player shirts from the 02/03 season are very different to the replicas and this shirt displays all those differences. The shirt was donated by the club so that it could be auctioned to raise funds for a local school.

*** LEEDS UTD PLAYER SPARE 2002/03 GOALKEEPER SHIRT ***

Every season 3-4 different coloured Goalkeeper shirts are produced to avoid any potential kit clashes. However the club will only release one of these shirts as a replica. The shirt below is one of those goalkeeper shirts that was made but was never used. The shirt features all the differences to seperate it from a replica which includes a full inner lining. Bizarrely the shirt has been signed by Neil Sullivan which leads me to believe that maybe this was ''used-up'' in training sessions as it wasn’t required in a match.

*** NEIL SULLIVAN MATCH ISSUE 2005/06 PLAY-OFF FINAL SHIRT ***

The shirt was issued to Neil Sullivan for the Coca-Cola Championship Play-Off Final at the Millennium Stadium. The match ended in a 3-0 victory for Watford which clinched them a place in the Premiership. The shirt has the unique game details embroided around the club crest. These shirts were never available to buy and are very rare. The shirt comes from a great source as it was obtained from Leeds player Ben Parker (who I know).

*** CASPER ANKERGREN MATCH WORN SIGNED 2006/07 SHIRT ***

The shirt was worn by Casper Ankergren during the 2006/07 relegation season. Casper joined the club on-loan in the final stages of the season and was so impressive that the club signed him permanently. The shirt has the correct number 40 that Casper used during his loan spell and has been signed on the front too. The shirt is made even rarer by the fact that no replicas were released of this shirt. The shirt also has the other differences that seperate it from a replica such as the ''Empire Direct'' logo on the back.

*** CASPER ANKERGREN MATCH WORN/ISSUE PLAY-OFF FINAL SHIRT ***

Here is a brilliant shirt worn by Leeds goalkeeper Casper Ankergren during the Play-Off Final at Wembley. The game ended in a 1-0 victory for Doncaster; however Casper was Leeds' man of the match and certainly kept Leeds in the game right until the final whistle. The shirt has all the differences to seperate it from a replica including the unique game details embroided into the shirt.
